A fresh appearance and new facade added to an old out-dated shopping center has helped in the occupancy roles at this Route 55, Town of LaGrange location. We successfully integrated four old construction areas, with four different construction techniques into a homogeneous shopping center with minimal disturbance to the retail shop owners. The now unified signage adds to the respectful overall appearance of the plaza by coordinating the colors, placement and design with that of the new facades. A newly constructed retail shopping plaza neatly situated on a small triangular lot at the busy intersection of Routes 44/55 and Main Street in Poughkeepsie. The site takes advantage of the surrounding green spaces created by the construction of the East-West Arterial thus appearing to be much larger than the small footprint which it occupies. Several parking and building layout schemes were explored before the final maximum utilization plan was conceived. Ten years after opening a small branch Credit Union nearby, we once again worked with the TEG Federal Credit Union to open an 8,000 square foot facility with all modern banking conveniences. A much larger lobby, longer teller line, two ATM's, two drive-up tellers, all add to the new location which has been transformed from a moving/storage warehouse into a convenient building to service the credit union's members.
